Pinar Quemado, Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic – February 2025 – On February 15 and 16, Pinar Quemado in Jarabacoa hosted the 2025 Assembly of Communications Delegates for the Salesian Province of the Antilles (ANT). Representatives from various Salesian works across the country attended. Under the motto "Communicators of Hope", the event aimed to provide experiences and tools for local communications delegates and their teams, helping them develop new evangelization strategies to bring hope to young people. The event began with a welcome address from Fr. José Pastor Ramírez, SDB, Provincial of ANT, and Fr. Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication, who joined digitally from Turin. In the afternoon, participants shared presentations on achievements and communication challenges within their respective Salesian works. Héctor Mojica, Executive Director of Radio Juventus Don Bosco, delivered a presentation titled "Pilgrims of Hope." A special prayer session was also held, invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Don Bosco at the start of GC29, asking for strength to renew the Salesian mission worldwide.On Sunday, following the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Juan Pablo Abreu, SDB, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, led a conference on the institutional communication document and the importance of "Communicating in a Friendly Way with Today’s Youth.". Additionally, the communication plan for the 16th edition of the Don Bosco 2025 National Salesian Games was introduced under the #JuegaConEsperanza2025 initiative. The assembly concluded with a final evaluation and closing reflections.
