Brazil - Over a thousand young people at the Youth Vigil at the Don Bosco Shrine in Brasilia
Brasilia, Brazil - January 2025 - The Salesian Missionary Youth (JMS) and other youth leaders have promoted the Second Youth Vigil at the Don Bosco Shrine in Brasilia-DF on the theme ‘Da Mihi Animas’. From Saturday 18 January at 8pm to Sunday 19 January at 6am, over a thousand young people from various groups took part in an unforgettable night of faith, mission and communion, in a real invitation to renew the commitment of young people to God and to their brothers and sisters. Amidst profound prayer, moments of reflection, emotional sharing and vibrant praise, young people came together for a greater purpose: to live the love of Christ and pass it on to others. ‘Inspired by the charism of St John Bosco and Salesian spirituality, we remain steadfast in our mission to be light in the world, transforming lives with gestures of love, solidarity and hope. Every smile, every hug and every prayer is a living testimony that together we can make a difference. May this vigil be the stimulus for us to continue walking, carrying forward Christ's message of peace and love,’ said the organisers.
