Spain - Madrid Community award given to Salesians for their work on behalf of children
Madrid, Spain – 18 November 2016 - The Pinardi Federation of Salesian Social Services received one of the 2016 Child Awards from the Community of Madrid for its work with the most disadvantaged children. The Community of Madrid considered that through various projects and initiatives on behalf of children the Pinardi Federation and the Salesian Social Services have brought about the development and extension of children’s rights, and their social participation. More than 700 children and their families receive support through various projects and programmes run by 80 professionals and 40 volunteers working in Pinardi Centres in Madrid and Castilla La Mancha.
