Ecuador – Sucúa, land of Blessed Maria Troncatti, hosts the missionary sending of 49 young people
Sucúa, Ecuador – August 2024 – On 11 August, at the Mary Help of Christians church in Sucúa, an exciting Eucharist was held for 49 young people who carried out the Missionary Youth Volunteer Service of the Salesian Family (VJMFS). Fr Marcelo Farfán, ECU Provincial, was also present for the occasion, emphasising the importance of the place chosen for this celebration. “In this land, Sister Troncatti found the way of holiness through her service to the people, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary,” said Fr Farfán. The Provincial then highlighted that volunteering is much more than just a service or a task; it is an opportunity to encounter Christ in service to others.
