Thailand – Salesian Cooperators Retreat
Hua Hin, Thailand – June 2024 – The spiritual retreat of the Association of Salesian Cooperators (ASC), Prachuabkhirakhan Province, held at the Hua Hin Salesian Retreat House, ended on Sunday, 2 June. The theme of the retreat, inspired by Strenna 2024, was: "The dream that makes you dream... A heart that transforms ‘wolves’ into ‘lambs’”. Also present was the Superior of the Province of Thailand, Fr Anthony Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, who led the Spiritual Exercises. The retreat, which began on the evening of 31 May with the Mass presided over by Fr Peter Niphon Sarachit, SDB Delegate for the ASCs, offered those present the opportunity to meditate on the Childhood Dream and to examine their lives as Salesian Cooperators. On 2 June, also in the presence of the THA Provincial, the promises of 14 new Salesian Cooperators were celebrated. There are 188 Salesian Cooperators in Thailand. Mrs. Navaporn Kitsawat is the Coordinator, while Fr Sarachit and Sister Maria Suphawan Chotiphon are the SDB Delegate and the FMA Delegate respectively.
