Venezuela – "Coreobosco 2024": young Venezuelans show talent and hope

Caracas, Venezuela – June 2024 – On 1 June the theare at the Don Bosco school in Altamira hosted Coreobosco 2024, an event that brought together more than 400 people to celebrate the talent and hope of young Venezuelans. Organised by the Don Bosco oratory in Altamira and Ezicar, Coreobosco involved young people from the Salesian Youth Movement in Caracas, the Salesian Family and the María Auxiliadora and Madre Micaela Don Bosco Popular Technical Schools Under the motto "The dream that makes us dance", young people demonstrated their skills in dance and music. Fr Rafael Montenegro, Superior of the Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN), the Delegates for the Youth Ministry of the Salesians and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, and numerous members of the Salesian Family were present at the event. In a country that has been going through a deep crisis for 25 years, Coreobosco has been a time for giving joy and hope to young people. Through dance and music they expressed their dreams and their determination to continue fighting for a better future. "This event is an example of the talent and creativity of our young people" said Fr Montenegro. "They are the future of Venezuela and we are proud to support them in their journey." "Coreobosco is an opportunity for young people to show what they can do" said Allys Daniel, SDB, member of the Salesian oratories in Altamira. "We want to inspire other young people to follow their dreams and never give up."
