Mexico – The transformative power of missionary journeys: the experience of some young people in Tijuana

08 April 2024

Tijuana, Mexico– April 2024 – In a world full of challenges and uncertainties, young people often seek out meaningful experiences that help them make a difference and find purpose in their lives. One path that has proven transformative for many is participation in short missionary journeys which offer young people a unique opportunity to connect with communities in need and discover the power of service and compassion. Some young Americans, including Luis Emilio Montenegro, Kristie Stott, Julianna Bristol, and Natalie Stott, went on a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico in recent weeks, where they learned valuable lessons, the power of community, and the impact individuals can have when they come together for a common purpose. Above all, they have learned the joy of serving others selflessly and the difference that loving kindness and mercy can make in the world.
