05 March 2024

Tonj, South Sudan – March 2024 – The Don Bosco primary school in Tonj has launched a campaign to clean up the environment, which will be carried out during Lent. The project, called "Keep Clean and Grow Green", involves the students of the school who, every Friday until  22March will take care of keeping the city of Tonj clean and planting new trees. In response to global warming and the growing ecological crisis, the students have therefore taken on "Laudato Si '" as a mandate to be practised during this Lenten journey and the school will be committed to teaching them care and respect for the environment.
