Venezuela – An initiative to bring joy and hope to the needy
Duaca, Venezuela – December 2023 – On 27 December, the young people from the Dominic Savio Youth Centre in Duaca carried out the "Huellas de amor" (Imprints of love) campaign, which aims to bring joy and hope to the most needy places. This year, young people chose the village of Las Verás. Here gifts and food were given, the Eucharist was celebrated and the young people shared moments of prayer with those in need. The initiative was accompanied by Fr Jorge Bastidas, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, and a group of lay people who have been carrying out this beautiful initiative for the poorest communities for more than twenty years.
