Ennerdale, South Africa – December 2023 – A short local workshop led by the Delegate for Youth Ministry for the Southern Africa Vice-Province (AFM), Fr Lingoane Tlaile, took place in the Salesian community at Ennerdale, near Johannesburg, from 1 to 3 December. The event was attended by 7 young people from South Africa and Lesotho, between 16 and 31 years of age. Five Salesian priests, a practical trainee and a Salesian brother were involved in the seven interactive sessions of the workshop. The rich variety of interconnected sessions involved all participants, most of whom were attending a vocational event for the first time. The multicultural educative and pastoral context of the Salesian community in Ennerdale offered participants an insight into the activities of the work. Similar vocational workshops will be held later this year in Swaziland, Lesotho and Cape Town.
