Venezuela – The celebration for the opening of the Jubilee Year for the 130 years of Salesian presence in the Country
Valencia, Venezuela – November 2023 – The Jubilee Year for the 130 years of Salesian presence in Venezuela began on 18 November. The anniversary was celebrated by recalling the history, experiences, sacrifices, the Providence of God and the presence of Mary Help of Christians, which have characterised these 130 years of history. The inaugural Mass was presided over by Fr Hugo Orozco, Councillor for the Interamerican Region. During the homily he highlighted five points to keep in mind to fully live this important year: remember, thank, learn, keep your feet on the ground, project. Realising these five points, Fr Orozco continued, would be impossible without the support of Mary Help of Christians, the heart of Jesus and Don Bosco and the heart of all of us.
