Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - October 2023 - From 26 to 30 October, the Salesian Province of the Antilles (ANT) received a visit from Fr Ricardo Campoli, a member of the Social Communication Sector, who opened the second edition of the "PLUS" School of Communication. This highly relevant event comprised seven stages, the first of which focused on the theme "Don Bosco communicator: the Dream at Nine Years of Age". A remarkable aspect of this edition was that more than a hundred young people from Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic were able to participate virtually. This significantly broadened the scope of the event, with the interaction of participants from various locations. In addition, during his stay in the Dominican Republic, Fr Campoli also had the opportunity to visit the Salesian residence in Jarabacoa, and during the subsequent stop at the Salesian Formation and Promotion Centre in Pinar Quemado, he shared the Youth Worker Formation Programme with the young people. Fr Campoli's visit culminated with the Eucharist at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Moca, a ceremony during which he was able to admire the work carried out by the Salesians in that city.
