Philippines - Salesian Economers and lay accountants from the Province of the Southern Philippines meet to improve financial management
Cebu City, Philippines - September 2023 - On Thursday, 21 September, 13 Salesian Economers and 22 lay accountants fromthe Province of South Philippines (FIS) met at the Don Bosco Provincial House in Talamban, near Cebu City, to improve the financial management of the Province. The day's programme was divided into two sessions, with a morning talk on budget management, by Paul Ray Mark N. Salsag, and an afternoon discussion on the Economer's Handbook", by Fr Adriano A. Satura, SDB, FIS Provincial Economer. The meeting emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability and responsible financial management in promoting the Salesian mission, which are an integral part of the Province's commitment to serve the youth and the community at large.
