Togo - More than 100 young people take part in the second edition of the spirituality weekend
Yokoé, Togo - September 2023 - With a view to helping young people grow in faith and deepen their knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, a second edition of the weekend of spirituality was held in the parish of St John the Baptist in Yokoé from 1 to 3 September. During this time of spirituality, more than 100 young people from the Mary Help of Christians parish in Gbényedzi were introduced to the understanding of the Old Testament through two biblical themes: an introduction to the Old Testament and to the book of Genesis, through an analysis of the compositional structure and the figures of faith, with talks by Fr Jacques Nagalo and Blaise Segna. After the richness of these themes, much appreciated by the young people, other activities also enriched the weekend of spirituality: Bible quizzes, lectio divina, professional workshops, serigraphy and decoration courses - areas developed to enable young people to grow spiritually and as human beings, responding to the aspiration that St John Bosco had for them: to be "good Christians and upright citizens".
