Camaçari, Brazil - May 2023 - On May 23, the Salesians of Bahia celebrated in Camaçari the inaugural blessing of the 100th Salesian school unit in Brazil, and the third in the State of Bahia. The solemn celebration was attended by Fr. Francisco Inácio, Superior of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), local authorities, and officials from the educational network. With the invitation made by Msgr. Dirceu, Bishop of the Diocese of Camaçari, the idea of adding a learning space in Camaçari society that would work with Don Bosco's philosophy matured. Fr. Inácio expressed gratitude for extending the presence of Salesian pedagogy in the metropolitan region and reflected on the seeds sown in the already successful path traveled by the institution. He then stressed that reaching the historic milestone of 100 school units in the educational network reaffirms the institution's ongoing commitment to excellent education and comprehensive training for youth and children. "This is a place where we can continue to believe in the transformative power of Salesian educational character and build a promising future for all our students," he concluded.
