Spain - A new class of educators and animators experienced in accompaniment
Madrid, Spain - February 2023 - Last weekend, Feb. 25-26, the Accompaniment Training (Level 2) for educators and animators of the educational, youth and social centers of the "Spain-St. James the Greater" Province concluded. Some 30 animators and educators gathered in the Provincial House in Madrid to deepen the spiritual dimension of accompaniment. The training modules that occupied the last thematic block of the course focused on discernment, under the guidance of Fr. Sergio Huerta, on the accompaniment of prayer, by Fr. Abel Domínguez, and on the reference to Jesus as a model of accompaniment, based on the reflections of Fr. Federico Calleja. The time of formation concluded in the chapel of the Atocha Youth Center with the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Xabier Camino, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, and concelebrated by Fr. Fabio Attard, Head of Salesian and Lay Formation in Europe. With the awarding of diplomas and the group photo, finally, this new class of educators and animators "experts in accompaniment" was dismissed.
