It was conceived with an idea to bring all Don Bosco Scouts and Guides troops together to experience adventure, service and to celebrate unity in diversity with one goal in mind – to be the agent of better India and the world. The activities for the nearly 100 troops are held in 10 Sub-camps ensuring participation of all the campers.
The 1st National Boscoree was held in 1974 at Doddaballapur, Karnataka, while the last one, the 13th National Boscoree, was held in 2018 at Nashik, Maharashtra.
As the Salesian Province of Guwahati is commemorating the Centenary of the Arrival of the first Salesian Missionary (1922-2022) in North East India, the 14th National Boscoree 2022-23 is a part of the Centenary Celebration hosted by the Salesian Province of Guwahati.
