Haiti - Children and young people from Salesian community of ENAM raise funds for Ukrainian people
Port-au-Prince, Haiti - April 2022 - To show solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the children and youth of the Salesian community of the National School of Arts and Crafts "ENAM", of La Saline, a neighborhood in the center of Port-au-Prince, did a fundraiser during "Youth Easter". More than two hundred children and young people wanted to join the solidarity campaign launched in favor of Ukraine by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime. In the homily of the Easter Vigil, Fr Lex Florival, Rector of the Salesian community "ENAM", said: "We must be in solidarity with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters who are going through difficult times because of the war, because when we had problems in our country they helped us." The Salesians of Don Bosco and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians have been working in the difficult neighborhood of La Saline for 86 years.
