Asia East-Oceania - March 2022 - On March 22, on the occasion of World Water Day, the virtual meeting of the "Eco Team" of the "Don Bosco Green Alliance" (DBGA) of the Asia East-Oceania Region was held. During the meeting, each provincial leader reported on the status of their environmental efforts. The sharing of ecological best practices and stories from each Province or Delegation was a significant incentive for all to work towards the adoption of sustainable activities for our Common Home. In this meeting, Fr Jolino Vieira, SDB, presented the ecological activities in East Timor; while in the next meeting it will be the Provinces of Vietnam and Indonesia who present their realities. In addition, Ms. Nemesia Rebello, DBGA Special Executive Projects Manager, shared some updates on the Laudato Si' platform of initiatives, inviting the Eco Team to have other members in the region enroll in that platform and to be in solidarity with the Church in the journey towards full ecological sustainability.
