Hyderabad, India – March 2022 – A two-day meeting for young priests of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad to stay informed on becoming active listeners, being close to young at-risk and accompanying the young people in their journey to faith was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, from March 4-5, 2022. Father Thomas Santiagu, the Provincial of St Joseph Province, Hyderabad, presented the 'Young Salesians and Accompaniment' to 24 enthusiastic priests. He reminded them to create the heart of a good shepherd in guiding the young people. ''Personal prayer, a project of life and spiritual direction are the means to realize who we are and where we are in our spiritual journey'', said the Provincial. Father Provincial created an awareness of each one's spiritual life through a survey among the news priests. In another session, Father Thomas Aquinas SDB presented the 'Systems thinking' - the art of strategic planning, high-efficiency problem solving and lasting results. It gave a new platform to think better in solving problems effectively. On the second day, Father Rajesh Salagala SDB, the secretary of the Province, presented 'Ten principles of Priestly life'. The scriptural citations and anecdotes from the lives of the saints made the session a heart-touching experience to the participants.
