Los Teques, Venezuela - February 2022 - The first session of the 2022 Provincial Chapter of the Salesian "St Luke" Province of Venezuela (VEN) took place from 21 to 25 February at "Villa Don Bosco" in Los Teques. The assembly took place with the participation of 44 Chapter members representing the various Salesian presences in the country, and the members of the Provincial Council, under the direction of the moderator, Fr Jorge Bastidas, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry. After the inaugural Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr Rafael Montenegro, VEN Provincial, the Regulations of the 2022 Provincial Chapter were reviewed and approved, the Central Commission and the directors of the debates were elected, and the working document was approved. The 44 Chapter members carried out the work agenda which had as its theme the reflection and implementation of the programmatic guidelines of the GC28 for the six-year period. The second session of the Provincial Chapter is scheduled for the month of June and will have as its theme: Youth Ministry in the Province, with particular attention to Vocation Ministry and Missionary Youth Volunteering.
