Thailand - The Salesian Family brings aid to flooded areas

Bangkok, Thailand - November 2021 - Although the infections of Covid-19 in Thailand are gradually decreasing, the situation has been aggravated in many areas of the country, due to heavy rains and floods in the months of October and November. Faced with this situation, the Salesian Family of Thailand is trying to bring help to the flooded people in areas where Salesian works are located and in neighboring ones. In mid-November, the Planning and Development Office (PDO), led by Fr Ekasit Talhakultorn, together with the Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the past pupils of the "Salesian Seminary", distributed 200 food packages in some flooded areas. The families living in the area of Conception Church, Samsen, Bangkok, and the families living around Wat Ratchapha Tikaram Worawihan, Krungthon Bridge, Bangkok benefited. In addition, the Salesians of the "Salesianum" of Sampran, led by Fr Nopphadol Joseph, together with the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of the formation house, distributed aid kits and food to the villagers in the area of the church of "St . Peter".
