D.R. Congo - The Educational-Pastoral Community of "Don Bosco Ngangi" Youth Center established
Goma, D.R. Congo - November 2021 - On 24 November, the Salesian house of "Don Bosco Ngangi" initiated its Educational-Pastoral Community (EPC). Fr Jean-Pierre Muhima SDB, Rector of the community, recalled the objectives of the EPC, among others: to accompany young people by educating them with an oratorian heart, placing the young people at the center of the life and mission of the presence and adopting typically a Salesian, transparent and centralized management. As for strategies, the Rector mentioned the use of fluid communication, working in synergy and with a common vision, with common actions and results. The event took place in the multimedia room of "Don Bosco Ngangi" and was attended by six Salesians, three Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, two Salvatorian Sisters of the Annunciation, and twenty-two lay collaborators, responsible for the services and sectors of the work. Fr Muhima asked everyone to be involved in achieving the objectives assigned to the EPC by the Rector Major and strengthened by the Province.
