Puerto Casado, Paraguay - August 2021 - The “Dominic Savio” Parish School of Puerto Casado, Alto Paraguay, Chaco, celebrated its 50th anniversary on August 28th. The commemoration began with the procession bearing a decorated picture of St Dominic Savio and the Solemn Mass was presided over by the Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Chaco Paraguayo, Msgr. Gabriel Narciso Escobar Ayala SDB. Then there was a folklore show with the participation of the students, and later awards were given to some teachers. The "Dominic Savio" multi-ethnic school currently offers the medium level of a bachelor's degree in accounting, in addition to primary education, the basic school, youth and adult education, and catechesis. It also provides about 400 students with an education based on Don Bosco's Preventive System.
