RMG - 3 August 2021 - Committing themselves to communicate the hope and good news of Christ's love, four new Social Communication Delegates from the Salesian Provinces of the South Asia Region and seven new Delegates from the Provinces of the East Asia - Oceania Region gathered digitally around Fr Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication. During the meeting, organized by Fr Ernest Rosario, Coordinator of Social Communication for South Asia, and held yesterday, Tuesday 3 August 2021, Fr Mendes thanked the Delegates for their work and stressed that his main responsibility as Councilor General of the sector is to be a support who walks with them and prays for them. He also warned against the temptation to consider only technology as communication, when communication is instead holistic and embraces many aspects: music, art, culture ... Then he spoke about the upcoming events planned at the level of the Congregation, such as the International Day of Salesian Social Communication, the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival and the Salesian School of Social Communication. Finally, he concluded by presenting Mary and Don Bosco as models in the noble mission of communicating the love of Christ.
