India - Certificate of appreciation for intervention program of "Don Bosco Anbu Illam"
Chennai, India - July 2021 - The community intervention program of "Don Bosco Anbu Illam", a branch of the Social Service of the Salesian Province of Chennai (Madras), received a certificate of appreciation from the "Greater Chennai Corporation" (GCC) for the contribution offered during the Covid-19 pandemic. Don Bosco Anbu Illam, through the Covid-19 Community Intervention Program (CIP), shared knowledge on the global pandemic, identified and monitored patients, provided door-to-door medical support, implemented awareness programs, medical camps coordinated, distributed herbal drinks, medicines, masks and gloves. The program served approximately 30,000 women, 25,000 children, 27,000 men and 18,000 young people.
