Rome, RMG - March 2021 - The meeting of the Salesian Publishing Network of America took place on 4 March, chaired by Fr Gildásio Mendes dos Santos, General Councilor for Social Communication. Participating in the event, made digitally, were Juan José Chiappetti and Mercedes Baxzos (Argentina), Carlos Orgaz, Salesian brother (Bolivia), Fr Waldomiro Bronakowski (Brazil), Marcelo Mejía (Ecuador), Daniel Corona (Mexico), and Víctor Pérez (Peru). The America communication plan and the reality that crosses the sector in the current context were the framework in which to share the current state of each of the publishers, to forster the networking that is already being carried out, and to propose collaborative activities. At the end of the meeting, Fr Mendes dos Santos underlined the importance of having a project that presents itself as a horizon for continuing work at the local level, the importance of networking, and the pillars of every Salesian publishing house, whose objectives are evangelization and education: values, structures, people and didactic material.
