Brazil - Extraordinary Visitation of Fr Gabriel Romero continues
Recife, Brazil - March 3, 2021 - The Extraordinary Visitation of Fr Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, continues to the community of the Provincial House of Brazil-Recife (BRE). On the second day, he visited the administrative area of the Provincial Center and the Shared Services Center. Assisted by the Provincial Economer, Fr Romero offered the Salesian "good night", online, to his collaborators and presided over a meeting, in person, with the heads of the various sectors. On the morning of the third day, the Councilor visited the Amanhecer Missionary Association (AMA), meeting the coordinators of the association, to learn about the objectives of the activities carried out. The AMA, which celebrates 25 years of existence, qualifies as a content production center for radio. Today it broadcasts programs on 125 radio stations, including Salesian ones. The project involves associates (about 4,000), volunteers (45) and collaborators in various fronts of activity. Fr Romero congratulated the AMA for having responded to the challenges of this time of pandemic and encouraged the association to continue its work and integrate more closely with the Salesian Province.
