Chile - Meeting of Formation Houses: to be accompanied to accompany
Santiago, Chile - January 2021 - From 10 to 17 January the Provincial Commission for Initial Formation organized a space for meeting and communion which was attended by 10 young Salesians who are undergoing the formation stages from the pre-novitiate to the theologate and those who accompany them, to deepen their path of discipleship. The meeting was held with the aim of providing a space for synthesis and review of the 2020 formation year, reflecting and examining various topics. For Fr Carlo Lira, Provincial of Chile, they were days of sharing, reflection and deepening on themes specific to formation: how each person experiences being accompanied in order to be able to accompany in turn. The event was attended by, among others, Msgr. Alberto Lorenzelli, SDB, Auxiliary Bishop of Santiago; Fr Félix Levín, Delegate for Formation of the CIL Province; Fr Darío Navarro, formator of the post-novitiate “Michele Rua” of Córdoba, Argentina; Fr Osvaldo Valenzuela, head of the aspirantate and pre-novitiate in Chile; Fr Leonardo Santibañez, formator of the novitiate of Montevideo, Uruguay (URU).
