South Africa - Program accompanying young people tackle pandemic
Johannesburg, South Africa - September 2020 - The Covid-19 pandemic has caused more than one million deaths worldwide and has generated an unprecedented health, economic and social crisis. Young people have been affected in various ways: spiritually, psychologically and emotionally. It is for these reasons that the Salesians of Johannesburg, Fr Lingoane Tlaile, the cleric Nhlanhla Nxumalo and the Salesian Brother Clarence Watts, collaborated with the Comboni priest Fr Kiffle, in an accompaniment program for young people carried out from 25 to 27 September at the "Bosco Youth Center". The goal was to accompany a group of young people in dealing with the effects of Covid-19, also to understand how to face the challenges of this pandemic, through reflections on various issues and questions, moments of prayer, play and sharing.
