East Timor - End of lockdown and reopening of Salesian schools
Dili, East Timor - July 2020 - At the beginning of July, the government of East Timor declared the end of the lockdown and, with due caution, all activities are resuming across the Country. In view of the reopening of the schools, the Executive Director of the "Fundação Educacional Salesiana", Fr Acacio de Castro, SDB, organized a training session from 3 to 5 July for the teachers of the Salesian Technical Schools and Vocational Training Centers. Three main topics were discussed at the meeting with 35 participants: the figure of the educator in the Salesian school; the identity of the lay Salesian educator; how to make a lesson plan and a commitment protocol for teachers.
