Italy - Don Bosco Borgomanero students reinterpret great 17th century Art
Borgomanero, Italy - May 2020 - A photographic shot to reproduce a work of art from the Baroque period: this is the initiative that was proposed to the students of the "Don Bosco" Middle School in Borgomanero, during this distance-teaching period. Proposed and assisted by Emanuela Negri, professor of Art and Image, and included in a wider study program on the Baroque period, the main idea was that each student, after analyzing a work chosen from those proposed, would become the very same protagonist of the chosen painting, and then reproduce - via a camera - work from Caravaggio, Jan Vermeer, Annibale Carracci, Artemisia Gentileschi, re-creating the structure and lighting effects in a study on light and composition inspired by the work of art.
