Burundi - Salesians assist flood victims
Bujumbura, Burundi - May 2020 - On May 6, the "St John Paul II" parish of Buterere, managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco, proceeded to distribute material aid to the victims of the floods that occurred in several districts of the city of Bujumbura. The displaced persons camp of Mubone, in the parish of "St John Paul II", brings together over 690 families who have lost everything as a result of the heavy rains and the overflow of rivers and Lake Tanganyka. In addition to food and spiritual initiatives, the Salesians also distributed medical assistance cards.
