INTERVIEWS

(ANS – Thornleigh) - When Fr. Blamoh Harris, the first Liberian SDB, paid a visit to Thornleigh Salesian House last week, it was an opportunity for those who had served in Liberia to recall their time there together, and also for Salesian Link to talk to Fr. Blamoh about his experience.

(ANS – Nilavarapatti) – Marie Degenhardt celebrated a different kind of Christmas this year. She is doing a development policy volunteer service at the Don Bosco Care Home near Salem, South India. After three months on the spot the 18-year-old reports on her experiences so far.

(ANS - Ebolowa) - Isabel Pérez Camacho, the volunteer in charge of the Salesian Office in Cadiz, talks about her experience in Ebolowa (Cameroon) in the summer of 2016. This Central African country has been described poetically as "Africa in miniature" on account of its geological and cultural diversity. It has beaches, deserts, mountains, forest and grasslands.

(ANS – Rome) – If you are under 10 years old and live in Aleppo, the sole scenario of life you can remember is war. If you are a teenager, war has marked all your recent past and marks your present, you are only sufficiently grown to miss peace. How can then Salesians, who live for the youth, manage to keep hope alive in these circumstances?
