INTERVIEWS

(ANS - Wau) - "I understand that there are things we cannot understand only with intelligence or common sense. Only faith can enlighten us. Only love can be the answer." Of the missionary life, so speaks Salesian cleric Chihiro Morito, the first Japanese Salesian missionary in Africa, currently in service at the Salesian community of Wau in South Sudan.

(ANS - Rome) - Fr Ferdinand Kubíc belongs to that group of Salesians from Eastern Europe who, due to the dangers and restrictions of communist regimes, had to carry out their religious formation clandestinely. His father never knew that he had a priest as a son and his mother only knew for sure towards the funeral of her husband, Fr Ferdinand's father. This is his story.

(ANS - Montréal) - Miquel Llull, past student of the Salesian University of Sarrià (EUSS), works at the "Cirque du Soleil" in Montréal, Canada. He talks of the link between the circus and engineering, and the path that he has traveled to find work at "Cirque du Soleil."

(ANS - Villa García) - Juan Pablo Castro, affectionately called "Jope," studies Medicine, wants his life to be more like the Gospel, and tries to meet Christ among the poorest. He decided to leave the comfort of his family home to go to the house of the "old man" in the colony of Villa García and live a year's experience in the footsteps of the man who has inspired him since his childhood: St. Francis of Assisi.
