(ANS - Mazabuka) - The desire to help and live an experience of solidarity led Guillem Fenollosa Busquets to participate in a volunteer project in Zambia this past summer. A Mechanics student at the Salesian Polytechnic Institute in Sarriá, Spain, Guillem brings back many memories and a new perception of life from this experience.
(ANS - Los Teques) - There is talk of a Venezuelan exodus to other countries to look for a future difficult to achieve in Venezuela, most being young people, unfortunately. Salesian centers, courtyards, schools and parishes do not escape this fate. There are many who have left, in fact, and it has become almost normal to ask about someone, the answer already taken for granted: "She's gone." (ANS - Freetown) - A week after torrential rain devastated everything and everyone in Freetown, the search operations for hundreds of missing people buried in the mud continues. The number of deaths due to the mudslides and flooding in Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown, amounts to 461, as reported by the Reuters news agency, citing the spokesman for a local source. In an interview, Fr Jorge Crisafulli, a Salesian Freetown-based missionary, speaks of the current situation.
