Tampa, United States - January 2018 - The youth group of the Mary Help of Christians Center in Tampa took part in the March for Life in St. Augustine, Florida, on January 13th. The March for Life is celebrated throughout the United States near the anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling of January 22, 1973, which legalized abortion at the national level. St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States, founded in 1565, and is also the oldest Florida diocese (1870).

Piribebuy, Paraguay - January 2018 - From 8 to 14 January, 42 young people from the Youth for Youth Movement, coming from various centers of the country, took part in the formative meeting on the theme, "Like Jesus, we cultivate accompaniment." The School for Animators aims to train the young people of the movement, who are responsible for faith groups and youth groups in their communities.

Fianarantsoa, Madagascar - January 2018 - On January 14, the annual meeting of members of the Salesian Family of Fianarantsoa, Vice Province of Madagascar, took place to share, explore and discuss the Rector Major's 2018 Strenna entitled: "Lord , give me this water. Cultivate the art of listening and accompanying."

Bratislava, Slovakia - January 2018 - On 8 January, the liturgical memorial of Blessed Titus Zeman was celebrated for the first time. Masses in his honor were celebrated in the Salesian chapels and churches, in the birthplace of Blessed Zeman in Vajnory, and in other locations throughout Slovakia. Many local people participated in Vajnory, some in traditional clothes, as well as pilgrims and religious who wanted to pray before the relics of the blessed. The Eucharist was presided over by the Archbishop of Bratislava, Msgr. Stanislav Zvolenský, and concelebrated by the Provincial of the Salesians of Slovakia, Fr Jozef Ižold, by the auxiliary bishop of Bratislava, Msgr. Jozef Haľko, and 15 other priests. Together with the relatives of Blessed Zeman, the mayor of Vajnory was also present. At the end of the Eucharist, mgr. Zvolenský blessed the faithful with the relics of Fr Zeman.

Chennai, India - December 2017 - On December 27, the Salesian Province of Chennai (INM) celebrated the priestly ordinations of eight Salesians. The priestly order was conferred on them by Msgr. George Antonysamy, archbishop of Madras.

Fleuriot-Tabarre, Haiti - January 2018 - The St Francis de Sales Institute of Philosophy, of the Salesian Vice Province of Haiti (HAI), organized its traditional "Cultural Mornings" on the 4th and 5th of January. Two days of reflections, conferences and debates with the Institute's students and lay persons. The Cultural Mornings focussed on the theme: "Tolerance and conviviality through social networks: Which challenges? What future?" The event ended with words of thanks to all those present by Fr Pierre Ernest Bazile, SDB, Director of the Institute, who called for the continuation of these meetings and for each participant to put into practice the knowledge acquired.
