Xuan Hiep, Vietnam - June 2018 - On 2 June, eight Salesians from the "Rinaldi" formation house were ordained deacons by Msgr. Chau Ngoc Tri, bishop of the diocese of Lang Son.

Caracas, Venezuela - May 2018 - The Extraordinary Visitation of Fr Timothy Ploch, Regional Councilor for Interamerica, to the "San Luca" Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN) ended on 31 May. For two and a half months, Fr Ploch visited all of the country's Salesian houses, bringing the fraternal greeting of the Rector Major, learning about and animating the joint work of Salesians and lay people, taking note of the difficult situation Venezuela is going through and the importance of the work of the Salesians who continue to accompany and offer opportunities to young people, especially the most needy. During his stay in the provincial house, Fr Ploch met with staff and workers of the various offices and all the groups of the Salesian Family. On the morning of the last day of the Extraordinary Visitation, Fr Ploch met the Provincial Council followed by a Thanksgiving Mass. In the afternoon, before the Directors of the various centers and Salesians in formation, Fr Ploch presented the final report of the Extraordinary Visitation, an important working document towards redesigning the VEN Province.

Parañaque City, Philippines - May 2018 - On May 31, at the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, the Salesians making their perpetual vows were: Antonio Maria Jose Guterres (East Timor), John Kanty Nang Khan Mang and Abele Nee Reh (Myanmar), Erwin Joey Escabillas Cabilan and Bonifacio Tison Lobaton Jr. (South Philippines).

Lubumbashi, R.D. Congo - May 2018 - At the end of the Marian month the pupils of the "Domenico Savio" primary school and the novices of the "Blessed Artemide Zatti" novitiate, gave thanks to God for all they lived, and also thanking the benefactors supporting the Salesian work in the country.

Salmiya, Kuwait - May 2018 - On 24 May, Salesians Cooperators, families and parishioners attending the Salesian house in Salmiya gathered at the church "Santa Teresa del Bambino Gesù" to celebrate the feast of Mary Help of Christians.

Chicago, United States - June 2018 - On 2 June, in the Salesian parish of Saint John Bosco, two Salesians from the Province of the United States East and Canada (SUE) were ordained deacons: Eduardo Alberto Chincha and Juan Pablo Rubio. The celebration was presided over by the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal Blase J. Cupich.
