(ANS - Buenos Aires) - A group of Argentine members of parliament are calling on Pope Francis to hasten the canonization of Blessed Laura Vicuña, as patroness of refugees and women who suffer violence. One of the promoters of the initiative is the deputy Giovanni Bruges who said he was a relative of the Argentine-Chilean child through his mother.
(ANS - Naples) - The family community called “The Dream” was born in Naples on 8 December 2006. It was a way to respond as Don Bosco would have done to the needs of the poorest children. In ten years hundreds of boys have found a home, a roof, a helping hand, a father's heart, a new outlook on life within this community run by the Salesians.
(ANS - Rome) - The image of Don Bosco which the Salesians of the past have handed down is more or less known. The Biographical Memoirs are to be found in all the Salesian Houses in the world. They have spread a certain image of the Piedmontese educator among his sons and daughters. But what was the image of Don Bosco from the late nineteenth century to the sixties of the twentieth century outside the walls of their houses, beyond the boundaries of their parishes, with the authorities or individuals who have not had contact with the Salesians (SDB) and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), in non-Catholic and non-Christian countries?
