(ANS – Chosica) – Chosica is a city in Peru located at half an hour’s drive from the Capital, Lima. But if Lima is typically known for its depressing climate and cloudy sky, Chosica on the contrary is known as “the beautiful villa of the Sun” for its sunny climate throughout the year. Nevertheless, this year torrential rains flooded many houses and some rooms of the Salesian parish dedicated to “St. John Bosco”, one of the Salesians presences in the city, together with the “Don Bosco home” for spiritual retreats, the old Salesian Novitiate and the “Tabor” Hospitality Centre.
(ANS – Mansa) – In Zambia, the word “Muzungu” means “Gringo”. Monica has been working for 4 months in Mansa, Zambia, capital of Luapula province, and fills many roles in the local mission of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMAs).

To this purpose, the Indian Bishops promoted a Day of Prayer at national level, to be held in all the dioceses of the Country, as per convenience, between January 21st and 22nd, to invoke the release of Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil, the Indian Salesian missionary abducted in Aden, Yemen, on March 4th, 2016.
