The celebration was attended by Monica Oltra, Vice-President of the Generalitat, who motivated the hundreds of young people to continue their work in favor of the five thousand youths and children who are served by youth centers and Salesian associations every weekend. "The role you play as educators of free time and non-formal education is of extraordinary value," said Ms Oltra. "You are fulfilling their dreams; accompany them and help them build their personality."
Toni Puig, a specialist in socio-cultural animation, listed in his presentation a series of tips aimed at young educators: "Be different and agile, be unique, choose to be with teenagers, something essential to form their vision of world." And he said: "Keep doing what you do, you are indispensable. Volunteering is the best thing that can happen to you in life; continue together."
Subsequently, a round table took place which brought together representatives of different entities involved in volunteering and social action. Later, dance groups, choirs and magicians performed and ended up transforming the Valencian theater into a sort of "Space of Dreams", with the scenery and backdrop of a circus.
With the same words of the President of the Don Bosco Federation, Sergio Cebral: "it was a party not so much to remember the federation's past, but to celebrate all the good that we still have to give through non-formal education, and we wanted the whole Valencian company participant."
Fr Francisco José Pérez Camacho, Delegate for Youth Ministry in the Province of Spain-Mary Help of Christians, encouraged young people to respond to Don Bosco's invitation and thanked the many Salesians and animators involved in this vocational work.
Finally, in the afternoon, an exhibition of "Good Practices" made possible the knowledge and appreciation of many interesting projects in the activities with young people of different realities, such as the Valenciano Youth Council, the "Nos movemos" program of the municipality of Sant Joan d'Alacant, "Lights 4 violence", the association "Colpbol", the "Confederazione Don Bosco", the NGO "Jóvenes y Desarrollo" and the "Ángel Tomás" Foundation.
