Quito, Ecuador – March 2025 – The Salesian Center for Ongoing Formation in America (CSFPA-Centro Salesiano di Formazione Permanente America) in Quito hosted a unique training experience with the Intensive Salesian Course, which successfully concluded on Friday, March 7. The course, which began on February 23, aimed to provide an intensive training space, particularly for laypeople involved in Salesian presences across America, offering them an essential opportunity to connect deeply with the life and charism of Don Bosco.
Through an oratory-like environment and a historical-critical-experiential method, participants were able to deepen their Salesian identity, significantly revitalizing their sense of belonging to the Salesian Movement and Family.
The course was attended by 32 participants from Salesian Provinces in Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and several Central American countries, including Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador. The course included moments of learning, reflection, and fraternity, strengthening participants’ commitment to the Salesian mission. The methodology facilitated a profound understanding of the history and fundamental values of Salesian spirituality, fostering a renewed sense of identity and mission in each participant. With the successful conclusion of this experience, the CSFPA reaffirms its commitment to continuing to provide training spaces that strengthen the Salesian spirit and its impact on Salesian presences throughout America.
