Rome, Italy – 1950 – On March 5, 1950, a joyful crowd filled St. Peter’s Square to celebrate the Beatification of Dominic Savio. That morning, the official proclamation (Breve) was read, in which Pope Pius XII declared the Venerable Dominic Savio among the Blessed.
