El Salvador – FUSALMO Promotes Digital Access for Vulnerable Youth
Soyapango, El Salvador – February 2025 – The Salesian Foundation “Salvador del Mundo” [Saviour of the World](FUSALMO) celebrated the completion of the Office Automation training course for Group B in Soyapango on February 22, with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to youth development.
This initiative, carried out in collaboration with Experience France, is part of the Technical Assistance for Office Automation Training for Vulnerable Youth project, developed under the LAMARR Project, funded by the European Union and executed by Expertise France. The program aims to provide digital skills training to young people facing socioeconomic, migratory, or disability-related challenges, equipping them with essential competencies to expand their opportunities in the digital economy.
The course benefited 12 young people aged 16 to 29, providing them with fundamental tools for employment and personal development. It focused on mastering Microsoft Office while also strengthening life skills, integrating technical knowledge with core values. This combination of technical and ethical training reflects the Salesian vision of preparing youth to successfully navigate the workforce and society.
The closing event was attended by graduates, their families, and various officials, including Lilia Ivett Padilla, Director of the FUSALMO Project, and Nelson Ángel, Representative of the Chamber of Vocational Training Centers of El Salvador for the LAMARR Project.
