30 January 2025

Tiruchy, India - January 2025 - A training programme on digital innovation for advanced documentation was held from 20 to 22 January at the Don Bosco Media House, Tiruchy. Organised by India's national forum ‘Don Bosco Young at Risk’ (YaR), and hosted by the Salesian Province of Tiruchy, India (INT), the programme brought together 33 participants, including ‘Homelink Hub’ Directors and coordinators from eight Indian Provinces, to improve documentation and decision-making processes using the ‘Homelink DIGI’ platform. The training focused on aligning initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sustainable resource mobilisation and data-driven interventions. Participants took part in expert-led sessions covering topics such as data visualisation, proposal writing, donor engagement and policy compliance, while gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art digital tools such as ‘Power BI’ and ‘Azure AI’. A highlight of the event was the release of the YaR Forum's National Statistical Report (2023-2024), which was officially handed over to Dr Rozario and Mr Louis Manohar by Fr Agilan Sarprasadam, Superior of the INT Province. This training event marked a major step forward in equipping participants with the knowledge and tools needed to improve documentation processes and decision-making matrices. This emphasised the importance of collaboration, innovation and data-driven approaches in promoting sustainable solutions for the well-being of young people at risk and their families.
