The MOJO workshop provided a unique opportunity for these young individuals to explore and enhance their talents. Participants were immersed in a rich and diverse learning environment facilitated by two experts in the field: Fr. Maciej Makula SDB and Miss Aleksandra Stankiewicz, who traveled from Italy to share their knowledge and expertise. Over the course of three days, the workshop covered essential aspects of mobile journalism, including video production, photography and video editing.
The workshop was more than just a technical training session; it was a platform for empowering young voices. Participants were encouraged to use their newfound skills to tell their own stories and share their unique perspectives with a broader audience. This initiative underscored the power of mobile journalism as a tool for personal expression and social change.
The success of the MOJO workshop was made possible by the dedicated support of the Salesian Community of Dungalpitiya. Their commitment to providing educational and developmental opportunities for the youth was instrumental in the event's realization.
As the workshop concluded, the young participants left with a sense of achievement and excitement, ready to explore the world of mobile journalism further. The Salesians of Don Bosco of the LKC Vice Province in Sri Lanka remain steadfast in their mission to nurture young talents and look forward to hosting more such transformative events in the future.
