Costa Rica – A formation meeting for Salesian Cooperators from the Interamerica Region
Costa Rica – May 2024 – On the day of the Solemnity of Pentecost, 19 May the Salesian Cooperators in the Interamerica Region participated online in the second regional formation meeting. The main topic of the meeting, held by Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator of the Association, was: "A promise that lasts a lifetime". Sister Juanita Silva, regional head of formation, and Martín Calderón, ASC World Councillor for the Region, also participated. During the meeting, Mr Boccia touched on numerous topics, including Don Bosco's Childhood Dream, the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and, referring to a past intervention by the Rector Major Emeritus, Fr Pascual Chávez, the importance of vocational choice. He reiterated the urgency "to return to Don Bosco, to return to young people, to live the spirituality of Don Bosco". More than 100 people participated in the event, some through the Zoom platform and others connected by Facebook, from the 13 countries that make up the Region. The Salesian Cooperators from Spain, Pakistan and Peru were also present.
