Lima, Peru - April 20, 2024 – The First Meeting of Salesian Communicators of Peru was recently held in digital mode, organised by the Provincial Delegation for Social Communication and addressed to those responsible for communication in the various Salesian works in the country. After the welcome to guests by Fr Jesús Jurado, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, the team for the Salesian Communication Centre was presented, and each member explained their role: Mirko Liñan, Head of the educational-communication proposal "Leader in Communication", spoke about the project of the National Network of Communicators; Renato Luna, the head of institutional communication, stressed the importance of maintaining active communication between everyone; Rodolfo Velarde, head of IT support for the Province, indicated the advantages of tools such as "Google for Education"; and Blanca Joo, consultant and teacher on issues related to the management of educational institutions, information and communication (ICT), intervened on the appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence applications.
