The campaign was promoted from 16 to 29 October. It was aimed particularly at youth and young adults struggling to build a professional career, who do not have the time to stop for a while and reflect on the meaning of life. It serves to encourage them to try to define their mission in life and involve themselves more in the missions in the poorest regions of the world.
It was publicized through radio, Internet and the print media. There was a commercial on television that presented the work of missionaries and lay volunteers who are committed to helping the poorest. It also reached the social networks - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat - and the materials that were shared are now traceable through the hashtag #mission.
There is the story of Patricia, who discovered her mission in Zambia: "My mission helped me discover my passion, which is to work with children! Children are the cutest creature under the sun! I am a physiotherapist, but when I returned from the mission I started looking for a job in a kindergarten and I found one in a beautiful nursery where I work today. I do what I like doing and that's what makes me feel good."
"My mission is first of all to my family" says Anna, who worked in Peru with Don Bosco International Voluntary. She is married and expecting a child. After her experience as a missionary volunteer she began to doubt her studies in Law. "Today, after four years working in an office, when I talk to people who are often at the mercy of rules and regulations they don’t understand, I feel a sense of gratitude and I see the relief on their faces. I think that helping people in this particular way is also my mission."
