Recife, Brazil - November 2023 - Around 900 young people from the Salesian North-East gathered from 24 to 26 November at the Sacred Heart College to take part in the 27th Salesian Youth Festival. The event was marked by a rich programme focused on the experience of spirituality, cultural, artistic and sporting activities, and the expression of youthful involvement. In an atmosphere of great joy and sharing, the young people also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Salesian Youth Movement. The Festival was accompanied by Fr Francisco Inácio, Superior of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), Sr Adriana Gomes, Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Brother Manoel Messias, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, Fr Magno Xavier, Provincial Coordinator the SYM, and numerous SDBs and FMAs.
